Azacitidine injection is a medication primarily used in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a group of bone marrow disorders, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It belongs to a class of drugs known as nucleoside metabolic inhibitors, which work by inhibiting the growth of abnormal cells in the bone marrow.
